The Spark, the Dream, the Fear

Feb 10, 2026

I have been battling with this idea for a while now...

Would people care? Am I wasting my time? Do I even want to do this?

These are the ideas that come to mind by sharing my journey with the world.

And these Ideas that can feel discouraging.

But, there are some ideas that feel exciting.

And then there are ideas that feel… inevitable.

This was one of those.

I did not wake up one day and casually decide, “I think I’ll build a financial education institution.”
This wasn’t a hobby. It wasn’t a side project. It wasn’t even a clean business plan.

It was more like a pressure.

A calling.

A vision that would not leave me alone, no matter how many times I tried to ignore it.

Because the truth is, the world does not have a money problem.

The world has a financial clarity problem.

And I became obsessed with it.

The Problem I Couldn’t Unsee

Somewhere along the way, I realized something that felt both obvious and heartbreaking:

Most people are not failing financially because they are irresponsible.

They are failing because no one ever showed them how the system works.

No one taught them:

  • how to build a plan

  • how to protect themselves

  • how to invest with confidence

  • how to manage debt without shame

  • how to think long-term when life feels urgent

And the worst part?

The people who need financial planning the most are often the ones priced out of it.

Professional financial advice is powerful, but for many families, it feels inaccessible.

So what happens?

People piece things together from TikTok, fear, guesswork, and late-night anxiety.

They do what they can.

They survive.

But they never feel secure.

That is the gap I cannot stop thinking about.

Why I Want to Build It Differently

I have been in rooms with spreadsheets, portfolios, investment models, and strategy.

But I have also been in rooms with something else:

  • stress

  • shame

  • avoidance

  • emotional spending

  • fear of looking “behind”

  • people silently drowning while appearing fine

Money is never just math.

It is identity.
It is security.
It is trauma.
It is hope.

And yet financial education is often taught like people are robots.

What I want to build is different.

I want to create something that feels like:

“You are not broken. You are not late. You are not alone. Let’s build this together.”

A plan that is practical, emotional, human, and real.

The Dream Feels Bigger Than Me

I keep thinking about the phrase from behavioral finance:

People don’t need more information.
They need better implementation.

As researchers like Hersh Shefrin and Richard Thaler have shown, financial decision-making is deeply shaped by psychology, bias, and emotion, not just rational calculation.

That is why education has to feel personal.

That is why planning has to feel empowering.

That is why the goal isn’t perfection.

The goal is progress.

And that is why this vision keeps pulling on me.

Because I know what it feels like to want stability… and not know where to start.

The Fear That Comes With the Calling

Let me be honest.

This is terrifying.

Building something meaningful always is.

There is a special kind of fear that comes with creating something you actually care about.

Not fear of failure.

Fear of it not working… when you know it matters.

Fear of pouring your life into something and still falling short.

Fear of being the one who says, “Financial education needs to change,” and then realizing you are the one who has to prove it.

That weight is heavy.

But it is also honest.

And I think honesty is where good things start.

Why I’m Writing This Blog

This blog is not about pretending I have it all figured out.

It is about documenting the journey in real time.

The late nights.

The doubts.

The breakthroughs.

The setbacks.

The quiet moments where you wonder if you are delusional… and the louder moments where you realize you might actually be called.

If you are building something too, I want you to know:

You are not alone.

This is what it feels like.

Week 1 Takeaway

The vision did not come from nowhere.

It came from watching people struggle in silence.

It came from knowing that financial planning should not be a luxury product.

It came from believing that clarity is possible.

And even though I’m scared…

I would be more afraid of ignoring it.

Next week, I want to talk about the first real obstacle:

Trying to build something meaningful while still trying to survive financially yourself.

Because that part?

That part is real.

See you in Week 2.
